On November 7, the French business school Grenoble École de Management launched the Energy for Society Chair with three partners: Air Liquide, Banque Populaire Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Engie. The aim of the Chair is to « develop pioneering services and strategies in the field of energy, based on new aspirations in terms of consumption and uses ».
The Energy for Society Chair comprises six permanent researchers, specialists in strategic management of innovation and technology in the field of energy, a PhD student and a post-doctoral researcher entirely dedicated to the Chair.
This will include “understanding new models of cooperation to create innovative energy services” as well as “the implication of new uses on the emerging economic models of the energy sector: What strategies will companies have to deploy in the face of the new propensity of users to pay per use rather than by acquiring energy production or consumption equipment? What will be the implications and potential of business markets for service and equipment providers? »
A “Smart city and data governance” Chair in Dijon
Initiated by several French universities and companies as part of the Dijon smart city project, the Smart City and Data Governance Chair aims to build a synergy of training and research at the service of the community (citizens, businesses, elected officials, public services, etc.).
This chair is based on the OnDijon project of the Smart Metropolis, which provides for the implementation of a steering station connected to and shared with the 24 municipalities in the area of urban equipment (traffic lights, public lighting, cameras, etc.) in order to facilitate the management of public space. The “Smart city and data governance” Chair brings together the University of Burgundy, Dijon Métropole, Bouygues Energies & Services, Citelum, Suez, Keolis Dijon Mobilités, EDF and Enedis.
