From November 15th to 17th 2016, the European Utility Week will take place in Barcelona and Think Smartgrids will be present at the French Pavilion, booth 3D 105.5.
During the EUW, 5 thematic tours will be organized every day to discover the French Smart Grids expertise. These tours aims to highlight the innovations designed by team France, and the results of collaborative and international projects during the last 10 years. A presentation of each solution and of the members will be shared.
Each of the one hour tours will start from the French Pavilion (booth nr 3D105.5) with members of Thing Smartgrids involved in each related theme. The 5 tours will cover the following subjects :

Network grid Asset Management
To face disruptive changes challenging traditional models, utilities need to adapt their asset management strategies and decisions making processes.
The design, operation and maintenance of energy networks of the future will include innovative tools such as smart data collection, storage capacities or advanced analytic solutions. This tour aims at presenting the outstanding expertise the French team as developed in this field in recent years.

Smart homes and Smart buildings
Smart buildings and Smart Homes integrates advanced technologies improving comfort, reliability and cost-effectiveness throughout the entire life cycle of any building. The French team has had the chance to develop a very strong knowledge and know-how in this field which will be showcased in this tour.

Energy Storage solutions
Energy Storage provides enhanced flexibilities for electricity systems, delivering multiple functions to multiple stakeholders in generation, transmission, distribution and end use of electricity. Main functions include primary and secondary reserves provisioning or other ancillary services to stabilize grid frequency, voltage, peak load management, integration of variable renewable generation, optimized energy management and self-consumption. Saft, an worldwide acknowledged leader, will host a tour highlighting the outstanding French competences in the field of storage.

IoT for Smart Grids
Connected devices and their related data generation are creating new challenges and opportunities that are having a profound impact on the business of Utilities. IOT for Smart Grids improves power grids performance and energy efficiency. Atos will lead a tour on the skills of the French team on this topic.

Flexibility management
Flexibility is the action of modifying generation and/or consumption patterns in reaction to an external signal (such as a price incentive) in order to provide a benefit on the balancing of the energy system. GE Grid solutions will showcase in this tour its leading expertise in this as well as the various competences of the French team.
